The past... Mansion of Kerkini was built back in 1918 from the family of Kyriakos
Doudos, when they came as refuges from the village Kosti in Eastern Romylia,
close to the Black Sea. At that time, the whole square of Kerkini was a
reproduction of their hometown's square. Their children and grandchildren grew
up in this house until 1975, when it was abandoned. In 2004 I and Anna decided to buy the Mansion and renovate it into a hospitable
guesthouse / hotel. Although the Mansion was abandoned for almost 30 years, it was still a
landmark for our village, reminding its glory and rareness with its
architectural characteristics. Our decision to keep the architectural characteristics of the building untouched
brought back to life the unique magnificence of the Mansion. Now the Mansion is
an elegant building that reminds the glorious days of the past.
The present Today, the Mansion's 6 lovely suites, decorated with stone and wood,
offer quality accommodation and modern amenities, making your stay pleasant and
relaxing. The two (2) small suites have double beds and a fireplace and they offer
great value for money. A TFT TV set, air-condition and privet bathroom with
hydro-massage shower are also included, along with a tasteful breakfast from
local products. The four (4) medium suites offer all the above, plus an internal loft
with second double bed.
We offer a cozy breakfast area and a cafe, as well as daily housekeeping and car parcking. You can also use and enjoy all the facilities and services offered by our other hotel, Oikoreriigits, just 100m away, like:

Except from the Mansion and we also own and operate Oikoperiigitis, an organisation that aims to protect the local environment, wildlife and beauty of Kerkini.
As well as preserving this historical monument, we also develop various environmental training programs for schools and other local associations. We even provide various environmental and agro-tourism excursions and activities for travellers to experience and learn about Kerkini's natural beauty for themselves.
Finally, we support the local population’s income, by providing jobs, training and business ideas, like the rebuilding of fishing boat to touring boats or the packaging of local products for sale.
